A One Day Umrah Checklist:

Since the time for a one-day Umrah is very limited, it is essential to be cautious and make proper use of time. During the preparation, a comprehensive checklist plays a vital role. It will make things easier for you at various stages of Umrah and prevent you from forgetting important items.

A one day Umrah checklist:

This one-day Umrah checklist will help you perform this sacred act of worship with ease. Let’s explain these items in detail to make the process easier for you later on:

Intention (Niyyah):

Making an intention is the most important and essential act, as it holds great significance in Islam. Before performing any good deed or act of worship, making an intention is necessary. Therefore, if you are preparing to go for Umrah, you should make the intention. This is a mandatory action.

Supplications (Duas):

Dua is a beautiful form of worship. Before going for Umrah, you should memorize certain important and specific duas. However, if you are unable to memorize them or tend to forget, you can keep a book of Masnoon Duas (prescribed prayers) with you. You can read from it to ensure you perform your worship in the best manner.

Ihram:

Ihram is a special attire for Hajj and Umrah. It consists of two unstitched white cloths, specifically for men, and without Ihram, the performance of Hajj and Umrah cannot be complete. Therefore, before going for Umrah, you should take one or two white Ihram garments with you. Women make the intention in their regular clothing while ensuring proper modesty and covering.

Talbiyah:

Talbiyah is a specific set of words recited when donning the Ihram at the Miqat (designated boundary). At Miqat, after wearing Ihram, you recite the Talbiyah:

“Labbayk Allahumma Umrah”

By saying this, you make the intention, and continue to repeat the Talbiyah frequently.

Travel Essentials:

The most important and essential items are your passport and visa. Make sure both are with you at all times. Additionally, keep some cash with you as you might need it for certain expenses during the journey.

Mobile:

Your mobile phone and its charger are crucial, especially in today’s world where it’s nearly impossible to manage without them. Make sure to carry both items with you.

Medications:

Medications are particularly important for those who suffer from any illness. Such individuals should not forget their prescribed medicines. Additionally, it’s a good idea to carry some general medications with you for convenience.

Personal Needs:

Maintaining cleanliness and performing ablution (wudu) is essential. Before putting on Ihram, make sure to perform wudu thoroughly and take care of personal hygiene, such as trimming nails.

Footwear:

Shoes or sandals are very important. Choose comfortable and easy-to-walk-in footwear to ensure you can move around without discomfort.

Umrah rituals:

There are three rituals of Umrah:

Ihram:

Entering the state of Ihram is necessary before entering the Kaaba. The Ihram consists of two unstitched garments, which are worn during both Umrah and Hajj.

Tawaf :

It involves circling the Kaaba seven times in a counterclockwise direction. During this act, Muslims express their love, devotion, and faith before Allah, symbolizing unity and submission to Him.

Sa’i:

Sa’i is the third pillar of Umrah, representing a beautiful memory of a brave mother’s care and love. It commemorates Hagar’s (Hajra’s) search for water for her son, Ishmael (Ismail)

Final Check:

After completing Umrah, the most important task is to review your belongings to ensure everything is in order and safely with you.

Return Time:

Pay special attention to your return time and adjust your tasks and schedule accordingly. This will help you avoid any difficulties and ensure you return to your home country on time.
